One day your dog will only exist
in the photographs you took.
We've opened a small number of studio sessions in Swaffham. An hour in the studio, the full experience, and portraits you'll still have long after the phone photos are gone.
£79 to book — with £200 towards your wall art
See Available Dates Limited dates. Once they're gone, they're gone. You've got hundreds of photos
of your dog on your phone.
And not one of them is on the wall. You keep meaning to sort it, and then another year goes past. That's exactly why we've opened these sessions up — to give you a reason to actually do it, now, while your dog is still the dog you know.
Our studio sessions normally cost £350. For these dates it's £79, and we're putting £200 towards any wall art you choose at your viewing.
You'll get the full Telling Tails experience. We don't cut corners on these — because if you love what we make together, we're hoping you'll tell your friends.

Everything you get
for your £79.
Here's what's in it
- A studio session with Jamie, built entirely around your dog Worth £350
- A same-day cinematic viewing, where we present your portraits back to you in the studio Worth £50
- £200 credit towards any wall art or collection you choose at your viewing Worth £200Wall art collections start at £549 — your credit brings that down to £349. Valid on the day of your viewing.
- A 75-year print guarantee on every piece of wall art we make
And so you know exactly where you stand.
We're a portrait studio, not a photo shoot. Most people who come to us leave with wall art — usually somewhere between £350 and £800 after their credit. Some spend more. Some choose a single print instead, and that's genuinely fine too.
Two things worth knowing before you book. Your £200 credit is for wall art and collections, and it's used at your viewing on the day — we don't hold it open afterwards. And there's one viewing per session: we show you everything, you decide there and then, and that's the moment your artwork gets chosen.
We'd rather you knew all that now than found out on the day. If it's not what you're looking for, no hard feelings at all — but this probably isn't the right session for you.
This session is for you if
any of these ring a bell.
"My dog is getting older and I keep saying I'll get photos done."
"I've got thousands of phone photos but nothing I'd actually put on the wall."
"I've always wanted to do something like this but never got around to it."
"My dog means everything to me and I want something that actually shows that."
Here's how the
day works.
Book your date
Pick a slot below and pay your £79. That's the session paid for in full — there's nothing else to settle before the day.
Come to the studio
Bring your dog, and that's it. We've worked with every breed and temperament you can imagine — nervous, bouncy, elderly, stone deaf. We'll take care of the rest.
See your portraits
Straight after the shoot we present your images back to you on the big screen. This is where you choose your artwork and use your £200 credit. Take your time over it — but it's the one viewing, so come ready to decide.
Don't take
our word for it.
"My dog had a sign made for when he arrived — he felt like a star! Jamie made us feel welcome straight away. Phoenix was allowed off lead to sniff around and settle before we even started. I was really pleased with the day."Rebecca Louise · Google Review
"I've never managed to get a nice photo of Frank as he's black, but Jamie definitely knows how to get the best out of dogs. I could've quite happily come home with every single photo. 100% recommended."Alison Simpson · Google Review
"We went to the studio with no ideas or intentions and the artwork you created blew me away and brought out emotions I didn't know I could feel. I fully expected to like the images, but I never thought they would bring me to joyous tears."Kelly Hill · Google Review
"Jamie has captured the loveliest photos of my pup. He was so friendly and we all enjoyed our day. Highly recommend for anyone looking to do something special with their dog."Shan A · Google Review
The questions we
get asked most.
Is the £79 all I pay?
Yes. £79 books your session, and there's nothing else to pay before or on the day. If you'd like to take wall art home afterwards, your £200 credit comes off whatever you choose — but that's entirely up to you.
Do I have to buy anything?
No. There's never any obligation. Most people do end up choosing something once they've seen their portraits, because they fall in love with the images — but nobody is ever pushed, and plenty leave having simply enjoyed the day.
How much does the wall art cost?
Wall art collections start at £549, and your £200 credit comes off that. Individual prints start at £179 and sit outside the credit. Jamie talks you through all of it properly at the viewing so nobody's guessing.
How long is my £200 credit valid for?
It's used at your viewing, on the day of your session. We don't hold it open afterwards — it's part of the session, not a voucher. It applies to wall art and collections.
Can I go away and think about it?
There's one viewing per session, and it's where your artwork is chosen. We'll give you all the time you need on the day and you'll see everything before you decide — but we don't run second viewings, so it's worth coming with an idea of where things might go on the wall.
My dog is nervous. Will they cope?
Almost certainly. The studio is quiet, private and closed to everyone else while you're here — no other dogs, no distractions. We let your dog settle in their own time and work at their pace. Nervous dogs are most of what we do.
How long does it take?
Around an hour for the session, then the viewing straight afterwards. Allow around two hours in total.
Can I bring more than one dog?
Yes. Just let us know when you book so we can allow the time and plan the shoot properly.
Can we be in the photos too?
Of course. Plenty of people do, and they're often the images that end up on the wall.
What if something comes up and I can't make it?
Just give us a bit of notice and we'll move you to another date. Your £79 moves with you.
Where is the studio?
Swaffham, Norfolk. Free parking right outside, and it's a short walk in with your dog.
